Tell us about your business / current role?
I currently run my own ENJO business from home. It involves teaching people how to clean their home without chemicals, therefore saving them time & money and improving their health. It is incredibly rewarding.
What time does a typical day start for you?
I literally hit the ground running at 6am! I head off for my ‘me’ time with a run or walk along the beach while my wonderful hubby gets the kids fed and dressed before he goes to work.
Do you have help around the house?
Yes lots! As its chemical free cleaning, my kids love to help me. My husband is also a very hands on Dad and has adjusted his hours of work so that he can support me and spend more time with the kids.
Who does the cooking and cleaning at your house?
We share the cooking and cleaning as we both work the same hours and the quicker we get the work done, the more time we have to spend with each other as a family.
If you have 10 minutes to yourself - what do you do?
Read That’s Life! and Take 5, it never fails to remind me how lucky I am to have a healthy family and a secure income.
What do you do for childcare?
My 2 boys, Kaiden (3) and Rhys (1) are lucky enough to go to ABC Isle of Capri. I have also joined the Gold Coast Babysitters Club and made heaps of friends! It has the added benefits of free babysitting, advice and networking as well.
Do your kids do many extra curricular activities?
Kaiden & Rhys both have private swimming lessons with Janelle Platt in our own pool, Kaiden goes to Karate at Combined Martial Arts at Nerang once a week and also enjoys Soccer on Saturdays at Little Kickers in Southport.
What do you do for fun with the kids?
We go to the park or the beach.
What is your favourite thing to do for date night with your partner?
We love going out for dinner without the kids, it’s really nice to enjoy a meal without interruption or arguments!
What is your favourite Gold Coast place to hang with the family?
Currumbin Beach, it has something for all of us.
How about favourite place to eat out as a family?
Lonestar Tavern, Mermaid Waters. Fantastic meals and a gorgeous play area to keep the kids entertained while we relax.
Where do you head to when you get time for a girls night out?
Once again, out for a meal we don’t have to cook and sometimes to the movies.
Who do you relate most to on Sex and the City?
Charlotte York, we all understand how our lives change when we have kids, the good and the bad!
What is your best beauty tip for mums?
Drink lots of water, eat lots of fresh fruit and raw vegies and exercise.
Favourite place to shop?
Fantasy Husband...that celebrity dream man?
Couldn’t say no to Brad Pitt! A great Dad, hot and charming to boot!
Must have parenting tip or tool?
Tizzie Hall’s Save our Sleep Book (My Bible, my Saviour).
Can you share any tips on finding the right balance and that juggling act?
Find a job that gives you the freedom to be there when your children need you and the chance for you to enjoy adult company as well.
How do you stay motivated? I look at my children. I want to be healthy so that I am around to see them achieve their milestones, I want to earn enough money to give them a home with a backyard to play in and the education they need to be successful.
