We are wrapping up our last editorial for 2009 with a few of our favourite things that we’ve featured this year. From music to outdoor swings to sweet things we’ve featured heaps of fun articles on all things kids and want to share with you some of our favourite things (ok and we have always wanted to be just like Oprah and share our favourite things out loud!).
Here we go ...
Give your kids a boost with Kaboost, the totally space friendly way to boost your child up to the table for meal times. It also saved the peas and corns getting stuck down the side of the high chair! Easy enough to pack up to take to Nana’s and the kids will feel big and special during meal time…
Family Time is so important to us all and there is nothing like dancing like no one is watching with the kids. We are loving Ziggy Marley’s family music collection that features the tune “family time” along with so many others chillin tunes to bring your family to their feet and start the fun!
With kids, comes chaos and one step in the right direction to finding a bit more order in your world is a visit to Kikki K. They are the leaders in keeping your world stylishly organized and offer so many tools, like meal planners, family calendars and their range of keep sakes is also totally worthwhile!
You’ve met a pretty cool mum at the playground and your kids got on so well, you’d love to meet again for a play date so rather than fumbling through your purse and looking for a pen, show some chic and flip out one of your play date cards. Your name, your child's and contact details and hopefully they’ll call ...
High Street Fashion feels out of reach for most during the years of baby throw up and excessive school fees so check out Edit & Refresh (now on Thomas Street in Chevron Island) for some brilliant fashion at a fraction of the price. These local Mums are bringing preloved designer threads to market and even free fashion styling which will help get you out of your trackie dacks!
We can’t shout out loud enough about this time saver and crutch for the busy mums in the kitchen. 4 Ingredients, the cook book, will make a great stocking stuffer for friends even if they can’t cook as it simplifies cooking with recipes that only call for 4 ingredients! We are loving cooking up a storm with these fun and tasty recipes!
We love all things picnic related here at Savvy Mama and there is a great place on James Street in Burleigh, Picnics at Burleigh, that does it all so very well. Surely you have deserved a day off so why not order out and pick up a packed lunch for the family and head over to one of our brilliant parks or beaches and relax!
The search is over if you are looking for a place where both you and your children can feel comfortable while catching a bite out. Liller Ven in Palm Beach is an oasis for Mums with coffee brewing and snacks to satisfy your little ones. The kids can have a play in their yard, complete with sand pit while you enjoy the ocean glimpses from the timber deck and catch up with the girls! Did we mention their onsite boutique of trendy kids fashion and accessories? Surely worth a visit!
If you are looking for some Christmas Spirit in the lead up to Christmas (only ten days to go!) check out last week’s article on Christmas Spirit and make sure the kids get a chance to see Santa’s special message from the North Pole!
