There is a little hidden ‘home away from home’ just off the beaches of Mermaid that serves a great cuppa and you will find very comfortable. Perfect for those days when you just don’t feel like entertaining, like when the playroom looks like a bomb went off in it and your laundry is piled up overflowing down the hallway – it’s not a good day to entertain however you’d love to just hang out on the couch.
Well we are sharing somewhere where you will feel at home, even with the kids in tow and you can even choose to ‘entertain’ in the living room, the dining room, the kitchen or the back yard. That’s the coolest part of Gov’s Espresso - it is an old house so it’s literally got all these different rooms to chill in, there is also a great patio out the front to people watch. The kids will surely love the back yard with the chalk board, old wooden boat and sand pit, which will keep them busy! There is also lots of room to roam around, beds to lounge on and read (byo books), umbrellas to shade you if you choose to stay for while…
The team there will take great care of you with beverages and sweet treats like muffins, banana bread, cookies and toast and they are working on extending the menu so good things to look forward to.
They are also starting music, movement and storytelling workshops for 2 to 5 year olds on Mondays so your little one can have some fun and sing along, listen to stories and get to meet some other youngsters. You can find out more or register for these workshops at Gov’s.
You will also have to check out their eclectic mix of items for sale, like retro bikes, shabby chic sun lounges and heaps more! This is one cool spot you’re sure to enjoy!
