Playgroup fun!

Written on the 16th of February 2010

If you are a new Mum or new to the Coast we would love to share with you a fantastic platform for meeting like minded parents and socialising your child – Playgroup.

Playgroup is a group of Mums, Dad, Grandparents, caregivers who meet each week with their children (from babies to preschoolers) for some fun and social interaction.

The kids get to learn through play and meet some mates and you get to meet other caregivers and have some grown up time in the mix. Your child can get used to playing in a new environment with other children and you can swap tales with the grown ups on who had less sleep last night, tricks on getting them to eat their veggies or sharing your favourite children’s milestones or giggles.

Playgroup will also offer a stimulating environment for your child to play and learn and you can both enjoy a variety of learning experiences along with making some great new friendships that may last a lifetime! They are very low cost and more details can be found on the Playgroup website.

Some of our readers have written in to share their playgroups with you so we will share that list below. You can also go to the Playgroup Queensland website where you can search by your suburb and find the nearest playgroup to you.

Try one, Try a few and take the first step in sharing your Mama moments.
