Friday 26 February to Wednesday 10 March – Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta
Surf fans have been waiting for this day when the world’s elite will compete on our shores in this wonderful festival of surf for both men and women! A great day out at the beach for the family where you can people watch and perhaps bump into a surfing legend.
Gold Coast City Pools Family Open Day
Sunday 28 February from 10am to 4pm – All the Gold Coast City Pools at Helensvale, Jacobs Well, Maimi, Mudgeeraba, Palm Beach, Nerang and Southport
Free entry for families to access all Gold Coast pools today – woo hoo! This is a first so grab your bathers and head out for a day of splish splash fun!
There will be extra fun at the Miami Pool from 10am to 1pm as the Hot Tomato team arrives along with a magician, face painter and sausage sizzle for all you swimmers.
Stormtroopers Invade Dreamworld
Saturday 27 February from 9:30am to 5:30pm – Dreamworld
All you Star Wars fans today is the day to make your way to Dreamworld as over 30 characters from “The Galactic Empire” strike Dreamworld. Money raised will benefit the Starlight Foundation and seriously ill children around Australia. Kids dress up in your fav star wars gear and don’t miss the 11:30am Main Street Parade. Twin Falls Spotlight Walk
Friday 26 February from 6:30pm to 8:30pm - Tallanbana picnic area, Springbrook National Park, Springbrook Road
Take the kids on a night-time adventure in the forest, led by rangers and spotlit so you can learn about neat creatures of the night. Suitable for children over 8 years old and must be accompanied by an adult. Phone 3512 2306 for more details.

Fab waves, warm waters and friendly instructors are on hand to give you the help in experiencing surfing yourself. Beginner lessons for all ages and abilities. Bookings are required for both locations.
