Physical Activity Week Continues

It’s all about encouraging Gold Coasters to get out and get active more regularly. In conjunction with the launch of the new citywide Active & Healthy guide there are heaps and heaps of low cost or free activities (too many to list) this week so no excuse to stay in…get up, get out and get active! Gold Coast Home Show & Caravan and Camping Expo
Friday 23 July to Sunday 25 July from 9am to 4pm daily - Parklands, Smith St (Cnr Parklands Dr), Southport
Check out the latest in home products for indoors and out including renovation tips, gardening tips and so much more! Also check out the latest and greatest equipment in camping and caravanning. Annual Pioneer Rally
Saturday 24 July & Sunday 25 July from 10am to 3pm - Heritage Park, 193 Rifle Range Rd, Pimpama
A bit of a history lesson for the kids where you can take a ride around the park on a double decker bus or check out the old trucks, tractors, vintage cars and more. There will be a grand parade, food and drinks available. Cost is $8 and children under 13 are free. Phone 3200 8673 for more details.
Miniature Trains on the Coast

Girls Surf Slam Queensland Championships
Saturday 24 July & Sunday 25 July – location TBC on Gold Coast
A fun day out to watch the girls rip it up! Women competing for the state titles and also the junior rippers trying to grab a spot in the trials for the 2011 Roxy Pro World Tour event. Free for spectators.
Gold Coast PCYC Open Day – Broadbeach

Library Time
Check out your local library for some fun with the kids! You can still enjoy your favorite programs like Baby Rhyme Time, Read & Grow and even PJ’s story time where you can come dressed in your pyjamas! There is also after school fun for kids 6 to 12 so check your local library branch and a great new program running through August.
