School holidays are almost behind us for another term and I think most Mamas are starting to do the happy dance! Happy the kids are back at school and you can hang up the 'activity director'' clip board for a while - or - happy that the parks and playgrounds will be somewhat quieter for your littlies not in school yet to adventure about. Gold Coast Beach Soccer Championships
Thursday 8 July to Saturday 10 July from 9am daily – Kirra Beach – Roughton Park, Kirra

Red Bull Junior Surf Master’s
Friday 9 July to Sunday 11 July from 8am to 3pm daily – Broadbeach
48 junior surfers compete in Mick Fanning’s Red Bull Junior Surf Master's this weekend for a place in the finals which are on Saturday and Sunday. This is free event for spectators and if the sun is shining should be a fun day at the beach with live entertainment and DJ’s from 1pm to 1.30 on Saturday and 3.30 to 4pm on Sunday. The surf legend himself is set to make an appearance!

Gold Coast Babysitting Club Meet Up

Get to know the members of the Gold Coast Babysitting Club and form a support group where you can earn and spend points for babysitting with a warm, friendly, trustworthy and like-minded group of families. Join them for their playgroup style get together with babies, toddlers and preschoolers all welcome. Membership is FREE and covers all the entire Gold Coast. Active After School Communities Fit Day
Saturday 10 July from 10am to 2pm – Central Park, Varsity Lakes
The Active After-school Communities (AASC) program, an Australian Government sporting initiative, will host the first ever AASC “Fit Day” at this weekend! The aim is to encourage families to take up physical activity on a regular basis. Kids can enjoy a kids-only treasure hunt at 11am and there will be other sports like soccer, martial arts, basketball and baseball. It’s all free too!
Canungra Rodeo
Enjoy a country show with bull riding, steer wrestling and a full bar for the grown ups! There will be rides and entertainment, so a great country day out for the family! Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children and family passes available.
